BAY RIDGE – There was lots of love at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2020! Students, faculty and staff came to school dressed in red, pink and white clothing as part of a special themed Dress Down Day devoted to the international day of love! The colorfully clad Adelphians also showed love for each other and the Academy by giving and receiving Valentine’s Day Candy Grams. Members of Adelphi’s Student Advisory Board spent part of the day delivering hundreds of these special items, which included delicious lollipops and candies as well as adorable plush toys.

Adelphians of all ages enjoyed posing for photos together to illustrate the sense of love and appreciation that all students share at Adelphi. When the Candy Gram deliveries began, students and staff were all smiles. It was clear that love was in the air at Adelphi!

Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said, “Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for Adelphians to show love for each other and their school by participating in the annual Red, Pink & White Dress Down Day and sending and receiving Candy Grams! Students and staff dressed comfortably while furthering the message of love and respect that permeates Adelphi’s daily approach to educating the total child. It was extremely heartwarming to see so many children and adults share Candy Grams with each other to make a very special day even more special.”
