BAY RIDGE – Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn Lower Schoolers put the “boo” in “boogie” on Friday, October 25th, 2019 at the Academy’s Annual Halloween Boo Bash. A capacity crowd of young Adelphians and their families packed the John Lockwood Auditorium Theatre for an evening of dancing, games, activities and goodies galore! The bash also featured a costume contest, during which each of the students marched around the room in an effort to impress the judges and go home with a prize.

The evening’s games were each handcrafted by Adelphi’s Lower School faculty members. They included a Jack-o-Lantern Bean Bag Toss, a Boo Toss, a Spider Ring Toss, a Witch Hat Ring Toss, a Pin the Spider on the Web game and an Eyeball Spoon Race. Students lined up eagerly to play these games and try to win prizes. Festive Halloween-themed music played throughout the evening, providing plenty of time for students and families to “boogie” on the dancefloor.

The young Adelphians lined up and proudly showed off their outfits during the costume contest. There were princesses, superheroes, soldiers, firefighters, cowboys and monsters, among other creative costumes on display. Prizes were awarded to Salma (3rd Place) for her princess costume, Aurora (2nd Place) for her witch costume and Laith (1st Place) for his mummy costume.

Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos was pleased with the turnout for the event.

“Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn’s Halloween Boo Bash was a tremendously successful and enjoyable event for our Lower School families,” she said. “So many of our students were in attendance to enjoy games, music, snacks and activities set up by our talented Lower School faculty, and the elaborate costumes on display showcased the creativity of our young students and their families.”
