Oracle Fall 2022

By: The Oracle Staff Bam! Thwack! Ka-Pow! Comic books came to life at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn on Thursday, September 29, 2022 as the entire school came together to show school spirit on Superhero Day! Students, faculty and staff came to Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn dressed as their favorite superheroes for the first of Adelphi’s monthly Spirit Day events. Adelphians of all ages dressed as The Avengers, Batman, Wonder Woman, Su- perman and other popular comic book characters. Typical comic book sayings decorated the halls of each floor and stu- dents and staff enjoyed posing for photos, striking their best superhero poses in front of them. Lower Schoolers also learned about what it takes to be a hero, from be- ing kind and helping others to always do- ing their best! Adelphi does not tolerate rudeness or bullying of any kind, which gives all students a chance to be a hero by pro- moting kindness and good-hearted ac- tions. Hero Day inspires everyone to be better! Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said, “Superhero Day serves as a great way to kick off Adelphi Academy of Brook- lyn’s monthly Spirit Day program. It al- lows students and staff to tap into their own heroic qualities — from being polite and respectful to assisting others in need at all times — which they continue to culti- vate throughout the rest of the school year.” — Additional reporting by Lucas Fiol, Grade 8 News From Around the School P A G E 2 , T H E A D E L P H I O R A C L E , F A L L 2 0 2 2 Adelphians Show Off Heroic Qualities on Superhero Day!
