One of the many exciting highlights from Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn’s first week of classes was finding out which of Adelphi’s four Houses our new Adelphians would be joining! Faculty member Ms. Wong and Academy Guidance Counselor Ms. Berios presented new students with their official letters welcoming them to one of House Lockwood, Ellinwood, Levermore or Morrill. I can’t wait for this new chapter in my life.” As the trimester continued, students and staff participated in a number of House activities and Spirit Days that kept the momentum from the first week of school going strong. Students got to express their enthusiasm as they got artistic and crea- tive. Disney Day, for instance, allowed Adelphians to pay tribute to their favorite Disney characters. Middle Schooler Edward particularly enjoyed the day. “For Disney Day, I got to wear a shirt of Yoda, which is one of my favorite char- acters from ‘Star Wars,’” he said.
