That was made evident on Thursday, Sep- tember 30th, 2021 as the entire school came together to show school spirit on Hero Day! Students, faculty and staff came to Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn dressed as their favorite superheroes for the first of Adelphi’s monthly Spirit Day events. Adelphians of all ages dressed as Su- perman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Captain America, among other popular comic book characters. Lower Schoolers especially enjoyed reading the official Superhero Rules — 1) Be extraordinary, 2) Be brave, 3) Only use your powers for good, 4) Fight crime, 5) Always do your best and 6) Dream big — then posed in front of a giant superhero backdrop set up inside the Academy’s Panther Cafe. Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said, “Hero Day allows students and staff to tap into their own heroic qualities — from being polite and respectful to assisting oth- ers in need at all times. This very special Spirit Day event illustrates the fact that there is a hero inside every Adelphian!” Adelphians Channel Inner Superheroes!
