In my opinion, it is al- ways essential to stay in touch with fash- ion trends because fashion reflects your personality and other aspects of your life. Just think about it; if you go on a job inter- view, head in to work, or even out on a date, you always make sure you’re looking good and feeling attractive. Clothes allow you to express yourself and present a certain image of yourself to others. This is the reason why it is always important to keep track of trends. In this article, I want to talk about the latest trends to look out for in Winter and Spring 2020. Neon: According to Vogue , “The neon trend lit up the runways during Fashion Week, drawing inspiration from the 1980s, rave culture and even the nuclear apoca- lypse as demonstrated at Marine Serre – bold color-blocking is a given.” When choosing an accessory or outfit, one thing is for certain: the bolder and brighter the better! Faux-Fur: “Faux-fur is more than just a trend – its prominence on the runways is symptomatic of the fashion world’s grow- ing environmental awareness,” according to Vogue . This season it’s clear that people are using faux-fur to send a message that they are not only stylish and tuned in to the latest fashion trends, but that they are sym- pathetic to the concerns about hurting ani- mals for the sake of looking good. Exaggerated Volume: Another trend is extremely oversized material, especially with shoulders and sleeves. A lot of the looks presented by Bottega Veneta, Alex- ander McQueen and Balenciaga featured balloon-like and puffy designs. This Win- ter, be sure to go big or stay home! Couture Tailoring: A suit or a tuxedo will be a perfect addition to your wardrobe with a combination of oversized sneakers, extravagant heels or even oversized glasses. This trend involves taking your favorite handbag and literally shrinking it down to fit in the palm of your hand! Micro bags are whimsical and LOL-inducing, especially when you consider how little you can put in it.” While not practical for storage, equipping one of these bite-size bags when you head out to socialize instantly shows that you are thinking fashion-forward.
